Three day weekend outfit - Sunday

Image
It’s the Sunday of a three day weekend. I am focused on casual clothes. I have been thinking a lot about how I buy and am going to focus on only buying new clothes/shoes/jewelry from eco-conscious, recycled, etc. I found a link to different businesses that focus on eco-aware to zero waste attractive clothing, I hope to buy from one of these brand when I need new clothes and will continue to buy vintage, consignment, and thrift! I have a few days of posts to update! Yesterday was a very busy day, I had breakfast with my friend and we watched Little Women, which provided me much needed future fashion inspiration! So much plaid and tweed! Timothee Chalamet was a fashion standout with tailored plaid pant suits, long coats, grey blazers, and vests, so many vests! Then Mike and I went to see the Monkees at Sketchfest so I had to wear comfy shoes and clothes that worked fall day! Outfit: Jacket: Rocket Reuse $35 Top: Daisy’s $35 Pants: Old Navy $15 Today it’s all about layers! I know more sweaters then I can count so fall/winter is my favorite style season, especially when I can layer several different sweaters, vests, jackets etc! Outfit:  Necklace: gift  Vest: Anthropologie (sales years ago) Sweater: H&M (years ago) Pants: The Gap (sale two years ago) Socks: Anthropologie $10 Shoes: Bought at TJ MAXX (Rocket dog) $40

Fashion Inspiration

Image
Mike and I just watched The Unicorn Store with Brie Larson and the movie is sweet, funny, beautiful, and the fashion is bright and fun! Definitely inspiration on me to be colorful and sparkly everyday! And to wear a lot of pins on my Jean jacket, which I already do! Learn about the movie ! Here are a few of my fashion favorites from the movie!

Falling Behind!

Image
So despite my best intentions I am falling a bit behind on this blog. It’s okay though! In the end it is for me and highlighting my finds. Occasionally, the night before work or an outing, I will think of an outfit. My outfit today came to me because I really wanted to wear these pinky peach Everlane pants. I decided to wear a lot of soft pastels and solid color clothing and wanted to wear hard black oxfords as a juxtaposition. When I do this, sometimes it works, but oftentimes I have to tweak something, not today though. Sweater: Uniqlo, a gift from Mike Pants: Everlane, $30 Shoes: Consignment Housing Works $45 Top: Consignment Beacons $20 Necklace: Gifts Other accessories Book: House of X/Powers of X Show: trying to figure out why I like YOU so much Music: Mariah Carey’s Butterfly

Odds and Ends

Image
Thursday night usually means beer and burritos so I like to be comfortable but also nice! I love my new sweater, which is DKNY consignment at Beacons Closet. It has a ton of holes in it but I like that about it. Pink pants from where else but Old Navy. The other three images are of an outfit I really loved before Christmas! The dress I am wearing as a top is Zuri Kenya one of my favorite clothing companies. With stores in New York and San Francisco, I bought this #justonedress from the Museum of African Diaspora when they had a pop up of Zuri Kenya. I always get a ton of compliments and it is worth the cost!
