January 1 - 2020 Intentions and Casual Outfiits

Instead of a set of resolutions to start the year I decided to think about what intentions I have for 2020 and I am accomplishing one right now by starting this casual fashion blog!

After last night’s festivities and watching a lot of the bad/good show YOU I decided to go casual with UNIQLO legging/pants - thankfully with pockets in the back, and a jean dress I am wearing as a tunic  and my favorite new vintage necklace with a telephone pendant. Shoes will be oxfords as they are my go to classy yet comfortable shoe.

Even though I love clothes and fashion more broadly it doesn’t mean that I always feel great in everything I wear! Occasionally I will try an outfit and doubt it all day.

Other accessories of the day:
* watching Parasite
* listening to pop culture happy hour
* writing a few poems and revising a few others

I have a few days of posts to update! Yesterday was a very busy day, I had breakfast with my friend and we watched Little Women, which provided me much needed future fashion inspiration! So much plaid and tweed! Timothee Chalamet was a fashion standout with tailored plaid pant suits, long coats, grey blazers, and vests, so many vests! Then Mike and I went to see the Monkees at Sketchfest so I had to wear comfy shoes and clothes that worked fall day! Friday Casual 1-3-2020

It has been nice to start a week of work on a Thursday, but it’s also a bit destabilizing because it is hard to know what day it is! Being Friday I wanted to be comfortable but I am also having a drink with a friend after work so not too casual. Old Navy pants work well for me so I am wearing their version of the classic bell Everlane pant and a mock neck top. Sadly today I am wearing all items I bought new, which rarely happens!
